Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Chickamauga Public Library exist to promote increased knowledge of the services and needs of the Chickamauga Public Library. This is accomplished through the following activities:
- Maintain an association of persons interested in the Chickamauga Public Library.
- Focus public attention on the Library
- Stimulate the use of the Library’s resources and services
- Sponsor and encourage volunteer service for The Chickamauga Public Library and The Friends activities.
- Promote cultural and related programs for the community.
- Receive and administer gifts, endowments, and memorials directed to The Friends of the Chickamauga Public Library for the promotion of the objectives of the Library.
- Help build the Library’s collections.
The Friends of the Chickamauga Public Library group is a 501(c)3 organization. Annual Membership dues and income from various events not only help fund programming, but also helps buy books and electronic materials, equipment and supplies for the Library, not covered in the budget.
